BOND MATRIARCH 2006, Napa

The 2006 has that fat, flashy Napa character right from the first sip—it’s opulent but still well-structured. I picked up dark fruit and a touch of earth, and it paired beautifully with a grilled steak. Definitely a worthy splurge for a special dinner.

That classic Napa structure is exactly what I was hoping for—fat and flashy on the palate, yet still so composed. The blend of those various components gives it a depth that made every sip feel like an event. If you're into cabernets with real backbone, this one delivers on the hype.

Brought this out for a special dinner and the nose alone was worth it—dark fruit, cedar, and that classic Napa depth. The tannins are fully integrated now, giving a silky finish that makes you want another sip. A beautifully mature cab that still has plenty of life left.
