CRU PINOT NOIR 2021, Monterey County

The dark cherry and plum notes hit you right away, and the wine is so well-balanced it doesn't need food to enjoy. I grabbed a second bottle before I even finished the first glass.

That vanilla and clove on the finish really lingers nicely—makes the last sip as good as the first. Poured a glass with dinner and it held up beautifully against the roast, the plum and dark cherry coming through exactly as described. For the price point, this one’s a keeper in my rotation.
