EPOCH 'AUTHENTICITY' SYRAH 2020, Paso Robles

Opened a bottle last night and that kirsch and clove combination is exactly as described—bold but not overpowering. The tannins have a nice grip that smoothed out after about 30 minutes in the glass. Definitely ordering another.

The tannic tension here is exactly what I look for in a Paso Syrah—it holds its structure beautifully while those clove and mace notes linger on the finish. Opened it with dinner and it only got better over two hours. Already planning to grab another bottle.

That kirsch and blackberry sauce note with the clove really does come through, but the tannic tension on the finish is what sold me—it keeps things serious without being harsh. Opened it last weekend with a slow-braised short rib and the whole glass just kept unfolding.
