That greenish-gold color in the glass is exactly as described, and the bouquet of hawthorn and marzipan is surprisingly delicate for a young chardonnay. It paired beautifully with a creamy mushroom risotto last night, the milky notes matching perfectly.

Opened it last night with some roast chicken and the marzipan and hazelnut notes really came through on the finish. The texture is surprisingly creamy for a white Burgundy, almost like melted butter on a fresh croissant. Definitely one of the best chardonnays I’ve had in a while.

The green apple and lemon-grass notes hit right away, but then that buttery croissant finish lingers beautifully. Perfect with a simple roast chicken dinner.
