KENDALL-JACKSON DERBY CAB SAUV 2022

The tannins are round and rich, just like the description promised, and the ripe black fruit really comes through. I grabbed a couple bottles for a weekend dinner and the cigar box hint made it feel special without being overpowering.

The mocha and baking spice notes on the finish are what sold me—smooth and rich without being heavy. I opened a bottle with dinner and finished the whole thing before dessert, which says a lot. This is my new go-to when I want something reliable.

The black fruit really comes through, and that touch of mocha makes it feel smoother than most Cabs I've tried. Picked up a few bottles for the holidays and I'm glad I did.
