LAGOVUVERI NERO D'AVOLA 2023, Sicily

The cherry and raspberry come through so clearly, and that little clove note on the finish keeps it interesting. Paired it with roasted chicken and it held its own. Light enough to sip on its own too.

Wasn't expecting much from a random Sicilian red but this one surprised me. The clove and cinnamon spice notes show up right at the finish, and it drinks way lighter than most reds I buy. Paired it with grilled sausage and it held up nicely.
