MAISON CHAMPY POMMARD 2020, Burgundy

Opened it with a friend who's a Burgundy fan and we both agreed the tannins were beautifully integrated for a Pommard this young. The lingering finish of dark cherry and spice made it worth every penny.

The dark fruit and earthy notes really shine in this Pommard, with a silky finish that lingered beautifully. Perfect balance for a Burgundy at this price point—smooth enough to enjoy now but clearly has structure for a few more years.

Opened it with some roast chicken last night and the tannins were surprisingly gentle for a Pommard, with a lovely dark cherry finish that lingered. It's got that classic Burgundy depth without being heavy — definitely worth the splurge for a special dinner.
