MATCHBOOK CABERNET SAUVIGNON 2022, Dunnigan Hills

Opened a bottle with dinner last night and was surprised by how smooth it was for a Cabernet at this price point. The dark fruit flavor is present but not overpowering, and it paired perfectly with my steak. Definitely grabbing another bottle soon.

I’m not usually a big fan of California Cabernets, but this one has a nice balance of dark fruit and soft tannins without being jammy. The finish is clean enough to pair with just about any weeknight dinner. Definitely a solid bottle for the price.

Served this with a garlic-herb roast chicken and it stood up beautifully to the rich flavors. The wine has a smooth, medium body with a pleasant hint of oak—much more approachable than some heavy Napa cabs I've tried. Great value for a weekday dinner wine.
