MURPHY-GOODE PINOT NOIR 2023, California

Was looking for a versatile red for pasta night and this one fit the bill perfectly, with just enough fruit to keep it interesting without being jammy. The finish is smooth and clean, which made it easy to pair with a simple marinara.

Popped this open on a weeknight and the 2023 vintage is drinking really nicely already, no need to cellar it. It’s a California pinot that stays smooth and light-bodied from the first sip to the last glass, which is exactly what I wanted.

This Pinot Noir has a nice medium body with soft tannins that made it easy to drink on its own. I paired it with roasted chicken and the fruit notes came through nicely.
