PAUL BLANCK PINOT NOIR 2020, Alsace

The floral and orange zest notes really lift this wine, making it feel more complex than your typical Pinot Noir. Those light tannins kept it smooth enough to enjoy on its own with dinner, though I can see it pairing beautifully with a mushroom dish.

That lively acidity cuts through a rich mushroom pasta beautifully, and the spice notes linger just long enough. I usually find Pinot Noirs too thin, but this one has enough structure to stand up to food. Definitely picking up another bottle for the holidays.

The mulberry and wild cherry flavors are exactly as described, with a nice floral lift that makes it feel more refined than a typical pinot noir. The light tannins keep it smooth enough to enjoy on its own, but I could see it pairing beautifully with a simple roast chicken dinner.
