SPOTTSWOODE CABERNET SAUVIGNON 2020 (ORGANIC)

That deep garnet-purple color is the first thing you notice, and then the blueberry and redcurrant aromas just pull you in. The 3% Petit Verdot adds a nice backbone that kept it interesting from the first glass to the last.

Opened this with a roast chicken last night, and the deep garnet color is just gorgeous in the glass. The blueberry and redcurrant flavors are really intense but it finishes smooth—definitely worth the splurge for an organic bottle.

The blueberry preserves note really jumps out of the glass, and that 3% Petit Verdot gives it a nice firm backbone without feeling heavy. I opened it with grilled lamb and it held up beautifully — already grabbed two more bottles for the cellar.
