WALT 'SONOMA COAST' CHARDONNAY 2021, Sonoma

Opened it with dinner last night and that tropical fruit and vanilla on the nose hit just right. The medium body kept it from feeling too heavy, but the stone fruit and citrus on the mid-palate gave it enough complexity. Definitely a solid Chardonnay that delivered exactly what I was hoping for.

The finish lingers nicely long after the sip, with that stone fruit and citrus carrying through just like the tasting notes say. It's got enough body to stand up to a roast chicken dinner but stays easy-drinking for a Tuesday night glass.

That tropical fruit and vanilla on the nose is exactly what I look for in a Chardonnay, and the stone fruit on the mid-palate balanced it out perfectly. It's smooth enough to sip on its own but held up nicely with a grilled chicken dinner.
