DE LA COSTA SANGRIA RED (1L)

Bought this for a backyard barbecue and the Zinfandel-Merlot blend really delivers that dark fruit depth without any extra work. The lemon and citrus notes come through nicely, so I just added a few berries and it was gone by sunset.

It poured a rich dark ruby and the Zinfandel-Merlot blend gave it that deep berry backbone without being too heavy for a hot afternoon. The citrus notes came through nicely even without adding fruit, and a full liter felt generous for the price. Tastes like a proper sangria, not a sugary bottled mix

We tossed in some chopped peaches and lemons as suggested, and it was perfect — the blend of Zinfandel and Merlot gives it a great depth of dark fruit that doesn't get lost with the citrus. This liter disappeared way faster than I expected.
