BLOOD OATH PACT #10 BOURBON, Kentucky

The oak and vanilla notes in the finish really tie everything together nicely—it's got a warmth that lingers without being harsh. Poured a couple fingers neat last night and the black pepper kick on the palate was a pleasant surprise.

That rich caramel with the tart raspberry really surprised me—such a bold combo. The finish lingers with vanilla and stone fruit longer than most bourbons I've tried.

The black pepper and tart raspberry notes hit right after the initial caramel sweetness, making each sip complex without being harsh. That long finish with the red stone fruit and vanilla is exactly what I look for in a bourbon.
