Took a chance on this stout and the barley really comes through—roasty without being bitter. It's strong enough that one bottle is plenty for a slow evening sipper.

The depth is unreal for a beer—sipping it feels closer to a port than anything carbonated, and the roasty barley comes through in every slow sip. It’s heavy but smooth, and the warmth sneaks up on you halfway through the bottle, which I’ve learned to respect.

The warmth from that 15-20% ABV really sneaks up on you, but the roasted barley flavor keeps it dangerously smooth. I'm already planning to grab a few more to see how it changes after a year or two in the basement.
