The nose is exactly as described—pure cassis with a hint of tobacco—and it drinks even smoother than I expected. The tannins are so supple that it’s dangerously easy to finish a glass before dinner’s even ready.

Opened this after letting it breathe for an hour, and the combination of cassis and tobacco on the nose is exactly what I was hoping for. The tannins are supple enough to be smooth right now, but there's enough structure that I can see it aging beautifully.
