Opened this with a little hesitation since I’m picky about bourbon, but the hazelnut note really comes through smoothly, and the vanilla lingers just enough on the finish. It’s dangerously easy to sip neat, and at this proof it warmed me right up on a cold Chicago night.

That vanilla and hazelnut combo is so smooth it's dangerous—I keep reaching for another pour. The finish has a nice warmth from the oak without being harsh.

The vanilla and hazelnut really come through, and the brown sugar gives it a nice sweetness without being cloying. It’s a solid sipper, though I wish the oak finish lingered a bit longer on the tail end.
