Opened it last night with roast duck and the balance of fruit and light tannins was perfect. The balsam and spice notes gave it a complexity that kept me coming back for another glass.

Opened this on a quiet Tuesday and the baked cherry and maple notes jumped right out of the glass, just as described. The tannins are so light it drinks almost like a bigger Beaujolais, but with that warm Burgundian depth. Perfect with a simple roast chicken.

The fruit is really generous here, with those red and black notes coming through nicely alongside a hint of balsam. It's got a warm, broad feel that works well for a Burgundy, though the tannins are light enough to drink now. Solid first impression for the price point.
