The black currant and blackberry fruit is beautifully balanced here—not too jammy, just rich enough. I opened it with a simple roast beef dinner and the mulled fruit notes paired perfectly. This is exactly the kind of aged cab I've been looking for.

That tobacco and wet earth edge really sets this apart from younger cabs—it’s got a nice mature complexity. Poured a glass with dinner and the black currant came through smooth, not jammy at all.

This one’s definitely ready to drink now, the mulled black currant fruit is softened by those tobacco and wet earth hints coming through nicely. I just wish the finish lingered a bit longer for the price point, but it’s a solid pour for a quiet evening.
