This winery can trace its origins to 1718 so they must be doing something right! Trocken = Dry. This dry riesling exudes ripe fruit, but is not sweet. Melon, nectarine, kumquat, apple, pear, gooseberry, kiwi, grapefruit, lemon, lychee, pith and white pepper coexist well in the busy nose & palate. Vibrant acidity & viscous texture rule the day. Food pairings with this versatile dry, low-alcohol wine could include Lyonnaise Salad, Gravlax, Smoked Trout, Sushi, Pork Schnitzel, Shrimp Tempura and Pan-Fried Pork Belly with Pureed Cinnamon Apples. Sustainable vineyard practices.

Madison I. ★★★★★

I was hesitant about a dry riesling, but this one is perfectly balanced—the melon and nectarine flavors really come through without any sweetness. It’s crisp and refreshing, exactly what I was hoping for.

Hazel E. ★★★★★

It’s a refreshingly crisp dry riesling with real complexity — the kumquat note gives it a nice zesty edge without any sweetness.

Owen ★★★★☆

The kumquat note is what sold me—it’s tart and unexpected, but the melon and pear keep it from feeling sharp. For a trocken, it’s got more ripe fruit presence than I expected, which makes it easy to sip on its own. Only gripe is I wish the finish lingered a bit longer.
