Bonterra's single-vineyard 'The Butler' red wine is made from a blend of Biodynamic/Organic (Certified) grapes that would be equally at home in France's Rhone region: 63% Syrah, 18% Petite Sirah, plus Mourvedre, Grenache and Viognier. Extraordinary finesse, power and intensity are found in earthy aromatic notes of wood smoke, black pepper, tar, blueberry, game and wild herbs. The dramatic dense palate delivers concentrated black cherries, cassis, rosemary, and cinnamon, with subtle minerality and supportive tannins that define the wine through the long finish.

Madison ★★★★★

Opened this last night and the Syrah really comes through with a nice peppery kick, but it's the Petite Sirah that gives it that deep, dark color. The balance is spot on for a biodynamic wine—surprisingly smooth for how bold the blend is. Perfect with grilled lamb chops.

Mia ★★★★★

The blend of Syrah and Petite Sirah gives this wine a nice, bold structure without being too heavy. I was pleasantly surprised by how smooth it tasted even on the first sip. Perfect for a cozy dinner.

Matthew ★★★★★

Opened this with dinner and the Syrah backbone really shines—dark fruit and a peppery kick that reminded me of a Rhône bottle at half the price. Being certified organic/Biodynamic makes it easy to sip guilt-free, and it paired beautifully with the grilled lamb.
