A 100% Grenache cuvee from the Gardiole lieu-dit is the 2010 Chateauneuf du Pape a la Gloire de Mon Grandpere. With 43 separate parcels spread throughout the appellation, the Boiron family can pick and choose the best, but it must be a strategic nightmare to manage all these different parcels. This 2010 (500 cases produced) includes 50% stems and is aged entirely in demi-muids. Close to perfection, it is the finest example of this cuvee I have tasted since its debut in 1998. Drinking it is like drinking pure kirsch liqueur intermixed with notes of crushed spring flowers. Its superb minerality, density, purity and texture build incrementally in the mouth revealing a blockbuster red with superb elegance, precision and purity." 98 Pts. - Robert Parker - Wine Advocate Sustainable vineyard.

Lucy ★★★★★

The 2010 vintage really shines here—pure Grenache from those 43 parcels gives it a silky, layered feel that’s hard to put down. I let it breathe for an hour and the fruit just kept unfolding, so smooth it almost drank itself.

Leo ★★★★★

Opened this with family for a special dinner and the Grenache really shines through with silky, dark fruit flavors. The finish lingers beautifully, and it's drinking wonderfully now after a decade in bottle.

Daniel I. ★★★★★

Poured a glass last night and the depth of flavor from those 43 separate parcels really shows — the Grenache is rich without being heavy. Glad I snagged a bottle from this vintage.
