The fruit is sourced fruit vineyards in some of the most ideal grape-growing regions of the Napa Valley - 81% fruit from Rutherford (of Rutherford Dust fame), 13% coming off Howell Mountain, and 6% from St. Helena. A Cabernet from these locales at this INCREDIBLE VALUE is practically unheard of. After fermentation, the wine was aged in old-school upright neutral casks sealed with decorative reeds - hence the name. A 100% Cabernet Sauvignon has aromas and flavors of vibrant red and black fruits with a hint of mint. This lovely red finishes with softer tannins than you would expect from a Napa Valley Cabernet.
