Camarda's Nerello Mascalese is the embodiment of Sicily's terroir. The land is worked by hand in the ancient traditions passed down from father to son. Passion and commitment to the 100+ year-old vines that create this unfined and unfiltered red wine are abundant. Medium-bodied, the wine shows violets, ripe cherries and raspberries, and dried thyme, sage and tarragon. Smooth tannins and lively acidity reward the palate. Consider pairing with Comte cheese, eggplant caponata or pasta con sarde (sardines).

David G. ★★★★★

I was skeptical about a wine from 100-year-old vines, but the depth here is real — dark cherry and a smoky minerality that lingers. It opened up beautifully after about twenty minutes in the glass.

The hand-worked soil really comes through in every sip—it feels like tasting the passion of generations. This Nerello Mascalese from Sicily

Ellie Z. ★★★★★

The depth from those 100-year-old vines is incredible—this red has a complexity I rarely find. A perfect match for my pasta dishes.
