"The 2010 Hermitage Ex Voto continues to top out on my scale. This extraordinary Hermitage has more minerality and delineation than the 2009, as well as overflowing aromas and flavors of creme de cassis, jammy blackberries, violets, graphite and wood smoke. Massively concentrated, full-bodied, decadent, layered and sexy, it needs short-term cellaring but should be just about immortal in the cellar." 100 Pts. - Wine Advocate - Robert Parker "Most likely just as good, with additional freshness and focus, the 2010 Ermitage Ex-Voto offers up an incredibly pure, fresh and nuanced bouquet of creme de cassis, licorice, crushed stone and spring flowers that flows to a full-bodied, detailed and yet gorgeously rich and textured palate. A serious barrel sample, with massive mid-palate depth and concentration, this beauty will require patience, yet should have an easy 3-4 decades of longevity." - 97-99 Points - Jeb Dunnuck

William P. ★★★★★

Opened this after a decade in the cellar and the crème de cassis aromas just exploded out of the glass. The 2010 vintage has that rare combination of power and precision, with a finish that lingers for minutes. Already ordered a second bottle to see how it evolves.

Henry U. ★★★★★

The minerality on this one is just incredible, that crushed rock note underneath the creme de cassis makes it so much more layered than the 2009. I've had a lot of Hermitage over the years, and this 2010 is the definition of pure balance.

Matthew ★★★★★

Opened this last night with a lamb roast and the crème de cassis notes were immediate, but what really got me was how the minerality kept building through the glass. It's got that electric delineation that makes you slow down and pay attention. Wish I'd bought more than one bottle.
