The word "appassimento" on the label means the grapes have been slightly dehydrated during the winemaking process. This extra concentration of raisinated fruit gives this wine intensity & structure. Aromatics & palate notes include red plum, dried fruit, vanilla, blackcurrant & cocoa. It is a full-bodied blend of Primitivo, Negoramoro & Malvasia Nero grapes.

Chloe S. ★★★★★

The appassimento process really shows here—the raisinated fruit gives it a dense, almost chewy texture that I didn’t expect from a Puglia red. Opened it for a pasta night and the intensity held up beautifully through the whole meal.

Steven ★★★★★

We've been letting this breathe for about an hour before dinner and the extra concentration from the appassimento process really shows—it's got a chewy, dense texture that stands up to grilled meat without feeling heavy. Bottle didn't last long between two of us, and that's always a good sign.

Joshua ★★★★★

The appassimento process really shows here—that extra concentration makes it feel bigger and richer than your usual Puglian red. Poured a glass with pasta last night and the structure held up beautifully. Exactly what I was hoping for at this price.
