"Aromas of dried fruits, raisins and Christmas cake. Some chocolate undertones too, plus licorice and wet earth. Full body, medium sweet with gorgeous depth and intensity of fruit. So long and beautiful. What an amazing finish already. So sexy. Drink or hold. But this will go on for decades." 98 Points - James Suckling "Plush, ripe and really packed, with a mix of warmed cassis, plum reduction and fig compote notes that just won't quit, all backed by hints of melted red licorice, warmed fruitcake and mulling spice notes. The long finish is fruit-coated but ripples with energy. This is really taking its time to come around fully as it remains one of the wines of the vintage. -- Blind 2000 Vintage Port retrospective (March 2021). Best from 2022 through 2040. 9,000 cases made, 3,500 cases imported." - 98 Points - Wine Spectator - Jonny McCormick, July 22, 2021

Carter ★★★★★

The nose is incredible — that wet earth and licorice really comes through alongside the dried fruit. Pairs perfectly with a strong blue cheese, and the finish seems to last forever. A splurge but absolutely worth it for a special occasion.

Aurora J. ★★★★★

I served this with a rich chocolate dessert and the Christmas cake and raisin notes matched perfectly. The finish seems to last for minutes, really impressive depth for a 2000 vintage.

Hazel X. ★★★★★

Opened this for a special dinner and the Christmas cake and wet earth notes came through beautifully. The finish really does last—sipped it slowly for nearly an hour and it kept evolving.
