The Kozlovic family has been producing wines in the Valle Valley of Istria, Croatia since 1904. Their goal is to preserve indigenous Istrian varieties that honor region and heritage. The passion of several generations has made them the largest private producer of Malvasia (Malvazija) in Istria. The family has played a key role in putting Croatian Malvasia (Malvazija) back on the map. One of those other indigeous varieties would be Teran. This unique grape is blended with Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon to stunning effect. The wine possesses a notable freshness from the first hints of tart fruit to the light astringency on the finish. Black raspberry, redcurrant and plum tease the nose and palate in this light to medium-bodied red. The finish shows subtle tannins that are well-integrated.
