The macaron was born in Italy and brought over to France as early as 1553 by Catherine di Medici, a noblewoman from Florence who married the future King of France, Henri II. The first macarons were very simple cookies made of sugar, almond flour and egg whites. The word macaron is derived from Italian word, macherrone, meaning fine dough. Le Chic Pattisier Macarons have two delicate almond cookies sandwiched around a flavorful ganache. Discover this delicious selection. It is SWEET!

Edward U. ★★★★★

I was pleasantly surprised by how fresh and chewy they still were when they arrived — the texture is spot-on, not dry at all. The hint of almond comes through beautifully in every bite.

Zoe ★★★★★

The little card about their Italian-French history made me smile, and the shells have that perfect delicate crunch before giving way to a soft, chewy center. I’ve been munching on them with my afternoon coffee all week.

Julian ★★★★★

The texture is absolutely perfect — chewy on the inside with that delicate, slightly crisp shell. I was impressed by how fresh they tasted, even after a few days.
