Category: CHARDONNAY

This Chardonnay is composed of fruit from two of Lemelson's estate vineyards that span two AVAs (Yamhill-Carlton AVA & Chehalem Mountains AVA), two different soil types (sedimentary Willakenzie & volcanic) and two different elevations. With an abundance of bright fruit aromatics, this wine was fermented in French oak and undergoes 100% malolactic fermentation to build richness. The nose comes alive with notes of green apple, caramel, lemon & vanilla and has fun unances of mandarin orange and toasted marshmallow. Texturally, the wine is surprisingly rich with excellent acidity making it a great food wine. Sustainable vineyard practices.

Richard O. ★★★★★

I was pleasantly surprised by how well-balanced this Chardonnay is—the Willakenzie soil really gives it a nice minerality without being too oaky. It paired perfectly with a simple roasted chicken dinner. Definitely picking up another bottle.

Zoe ★★★★★

The blend from those two different soil types really gives it a layered, interesting mouthfeel that I wasn't expecting from a single bottle. Perfect with a simple roast chicken dinner.

Samuel ★★★★★

The two different soil types really show up in the glass—there's a flinty, mineral backbone that keeps it from being just another oaky chardonnay. Poured it for friends who usually shy away from this grape and they were all reaching for refills.
