Category: CABERNET SAUVIGNON

This 2021, non-vintage Profile is a unique composition of every vintage made of Merryvale's Profile label. It was blended from library bottles and returned to barrel for six months. The varieties are 86% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Petite Verdot, 4% Cabernet Franc, and 2% Malbec. Deep garnet-purple colored, it charges out with powerful notes of blackberry pie, warm cassis, and blueberry compote, leading to hints of licorice, unsmoked cigars, Chinese five spice, and menthol. The concentrated, full-bodied palate is so, so multi-layered, with a fascinating velvety/grainy texture and wonderful freshness, finishing long and complex. History in a glass!

Grace ★★★★★

I wasn't sure about a blend of library vintages, but the six extra months in the barrel really smoothed everything out—it's surprisingly balanced and rich.

This isn't your typical Napa Cab — the blend of library vintages gives it a layered complexity I've never found in a single-year bottle. It’s bold but not jammy, with a smooth finish that made it perfect with dinner last night.

Nicholas U. ★★★★★

I was curious how the six months back in barrel would change it, and the result is a cabernet with an extra layer of depth and smoothness that really surprised me. Definitely buying another bottle.
