Mashbill: 63% Corn, 27% Rye & 10% Malted Barley. Fears of this bottling disappearing have vanished! As assertive, but not aggressive as ever. Intense and notes of brown sugar, black pepper & cinnamon (think Mike & Ike Hot Tamale candy) are thankfully inescapable. The alcohol can test the palate at times, but overall the fruit and oak notes win out. A sipper best experienced slowly.

John ★★★★★

That bold black pepper note hits you right up front, but the brown sugar sweetness keeps it from being too harsh. For a 114 proof it goes down surprisingly smooth, and the rye spice lingers just long enough.

Leo T. ★★★★★

The brown sugar sweetness hits right up front and then that high rye mashbill really warms you up on the finish. A solid 114 proof that's bold without being rough to drink neat.

Madison R. ★★★★★

That peppery rye bite comes through hard on the first sip, but the brown sugar sweetness smooths it right out—it's assertive without being harsh, exactly as described. The 27% rye in the mashbill really shows, and I'm glad the panic about it disappearing is over.
