Zemmer cultivates the grapes for his Vigna Kofl Pinot Noir Riserva at an altitude of 3,380 ft. in the immediate vicinity of the farm Koflhof in Aldino in the lowlands of Alto Adige. Because he can! The result is a stunningly harmonious and elegant Italian P.N. that sees 12 months in French oak, followed by 6 months in stainless steel and a further 6 months in bottle until its release. Sensual and seductive, the supple and mellow wine offers layers of rich strawberry, sour cherry, raspberry and pomegranate. Enticing enough to drink solo, it is substantial enough to make exciting pairings with herb-crusted rack of lamb, duck polenta and veal medallions. Sustainable winery.

Richard T. ★★★★★

I was blown away by how smooth this Pinot Noir is — that high-altitude vineyard really gives it a unique elegance. It paired beautifully with a simple roast chicken dinner.

Grace ★★★★★

The minerality from those high-altitude grapes really comes through — this Pinot is elegant but has a surprising depth. I served it with roast chicken and it paired beautifully. Definitely my favorite bottle this month.

Emma X. ★★★★★

The altitude where these grapes are grown really comes through in the wine — it’s incredibly elegant with a crisp, mineral finish that I wasn’t expecting from a Pinot Noir. The balance is spot on, and it paired beautifully with a simple roast chicken. I’ve already ordered another bottle.
