That dried cherry and clove hit right away, then the eucalyptus and cedar mellow it out beautifully. It held its own against a mushroom tagliatelle without getting lost, and the finish stayed smooth past the last pour.

Opened this with some aged Gorgonzola and pasta, and the tobacco and cedar notes really came through beautifully. The wine is smooth but has enough structure to stand up to the blue cheese. A fantastic pairing that exceeded my expectations for the price point.
