Opened this with a slow-cooked lamb shank and the blackberry and boysenberry notes came through just as the label promised, with that clove spice lingering nicely on the finish. The palate is seriously supple, not at all heavy, and it held up well from the first sip to the last glass.

The dark fruit and clove combo really shines through—it’s rich without being heavy. I’ve had it with grilled lamb twice now, and the supple palate makes it dangerously easy to drink.
