The cork came out clean after 35 years, and the first sip was all dark fruit and savory meat. I'm glad I opened it now; the balance between the pepper and the fruit is incredible.

Opened this with some trepidation given its age, but the black fruit is still incredibly vibrant and integrated beautifully with the savory notes. It’s drinking perfectly right now, a true testament to the vintage.

Even after 35 years, the pepper and meat notes are still incredibly vibrant, with the black fruit rounding it all out. Opened it for a special dinner and it was absolutely singing. This will definitely hold for another decade if you can resist.
