Opened it expecting a typical New Zealand Sauvignon, but the mineral-driven crispness really reminded me of a good Sancerre. The citrus and gooseberry finish is clean and lingers just enough.

The passion fruit and gooseberry notes are so vivid they practically jump out of the glass, and that minerally finish gives it a crispness I usually only find in pricier bottles. It’s dangerously easy to drink on its own, but it held up beautifully next to some grilled fish last night.
