The nose alone is worth the price—that mix of smoked meat and truffle is incredibly complex. It was rich and smooth on the palate, exactly what I hoped for from a well-aged Rhône.

That hint of tapenade really came through after some time in the glass, and the blackberry and cassis notes were incredibly intense. This is one of the most seamless, elegant Rhônes I’ve had in years.

Decanted for about an hour and the smoked meat and truffle notes just unfolded beautifully, with that tapenade hint appearing right on cue. It's rich and unctuous, exactly as described, and I'd buy another bottle in a heartbeat.
