バージニア蒸留所 グースアイランド バーボンカウンティ スタウトカスク シングルモルト、バージニア州

I was curious how a stout cask would work with single malt, and this delivers a rich, layered depth without being overwhelming. The beer barrel aging really comes through in a subtle way that complements the whisky rather than dominating it.

The stout cask influence is unmistakable—it layers in a rich, roasty depth that balances the single malt’s smoothness perfectly. I poured a glass after dinner and the finish lingered with a gentle cocoa note that I didn’t expect. This is a bottle I’ll be saving for special occasions.

The beer barrel aging really shines through, giving this single malt a rich, dark stout character without being overwhelming. Pairs perfectly with a rainy evening.
