Category: MISC WHITE

Rias Baixas is the only exclusively white wine appellation in Spain and is located in the northwest region of Galicia. Because of its cool, oceanic climate, the Albarino grape from which most of the region's whites are made, thrives to produce light and fresh wines. Abadia Albarino is pale golden in color, floral and aromatic on the nose with aromas of apples and pears with citrus notes. Light, bright and fresh in the mouth with pleasantly tart acidity.

Madison L. ★★★★★

Cracked this open with some seafood pasta and the acidity cut through the cream like a knife. That cool Galician climate really shows up as a crisp, mineral finish that lasts longer than I expected. Already ordered a second bottle, it's that good.

Edward ★★★★★

The ocean climate really comes through in this Albariño—it's crisp and clean without being too sharp. I served it chilled with some grilled fish, and the whole bottle disappeared quickly.

Matthew Z. ★★★★★

This Albarino has that perfect balance of bright acidity and a touch of salinity I've been craving. The finish is surprisingly long and clean for a white under $20.
