Category: RHONE BLEND

Part of the world renown Boisset Collection's portfolio, Bonpas (meaning Bon Passage in French) was a fortified monastery built in the 12th century overlooking the Durance River near the town of Avignon. Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre are blended to create deep ruby-red hues which hint at the expressive and powerful flavors to come. Jammy dark fruits are front and center on the nose with back notes of freshly crushed spice leading into a warm palate of bruised dark stone fruits, black olives, and baked spices. Enjoy on its own or pair with spicy dishes, game fare, anything grilled or roasted, and powerful cheese dishes. Sustainable/Biodynamic/Organic vineyard practices.

Elizabeth B. ★★★★★

Really smooth with a nice peppery finish, and it paired beautifully with a simple roast chicken dinner. For the price, this has way more complexity than I expected from a Côtes du Rhône.

Nicholas S. ★★★★★

Opened this after a long week and the 2020 vintage is drinking beautifully right out of the bottle, no decanting needed. The monks who built that 12th-century monastery clearly knew what they were doing with this blend. It's smooth enough for a casual weeknight but has enough depth to hold up next t

The bottle’s 12th-century heritage intrigued me, and the wine has a smooth, velvety texture that pairs perfectly with hearty stews. I opened it for a casual dinner and ended up savoring every sip, easily the best Rhône blend I’ve bought this year.
