Abigail ★★★★★

Opened the jar for a tapas plate and the peppers were perfectly tender with that smoky-sweet piquillo flavor. The 75 years of preserving tradition really shows in the quality.

These piquillos have that perfect balance of smoky sweetness and a slight tang, and the flesh is thick enough to hold up on a charcuterie board without getting mushy. I just roasted them with a little olive oil and garlic for a simple tapa.

I’ve tried a lot of jarred peppers, but these from Navarra have that slow-roasted, smoky depth you just don’t get elsewhere—the skin peels right off and they’re perfect on a simple charcuterie board. The 7.2 oz jar is smaller than it looks, though, so I’m already ordering another one.
