The banana custard note is subtle but really works with the dark fruit here. I brought this to a seder and it paired beautifully with the brisket without being too heavy.

This bottle was a pleasant surprise for a weeknight dinner, that banana custard note on the finish is unlike any cab I’ve had lately. The medium body made it easy to pair with pasta, and knowing it’s kosher for Passover takes the stress out of hosting.

That ripe cassis and blackberry really comes through on the palate, and the spice note gives it a nice warmth without being heavy. It’s surprisingly smooth for the price point—opened up nicely after about twenty minutes in the glass.
