That brown, stony soil really comes through in the flavor profile — it’s got that classic Burgundy minerality without being too earthy. Paired beautifully with roast chicken, and I’ll be buying another bottle for sure.

This Savigny-Lès-Beaune really delivers for the price. The structure from those stony, poor soils is noticeable — bright acidity with dark fruit that balanced out beautifully after about 45 minutes in the glass. A solid red Burgundy for everyday drinking.

Opened this after letting it breathe for an hour and the hilltop fruit really shows its depth, with that classic Burgundy earthiness woven through. It’s a solid introduction to Savigny-les-Beaune if you want to understand what those stony, poor soils do for a pinot.
