Fourteen generations of winemaking really shows in how balanced this bottle is — the citrus hits first, then that flinty Sancerre backbone kicks in. Poured it with goat cheese and it disappeared faster than I planned.

The mineral finish on this Sancerre caught me off guard in the best way, like wet stone and grapefruit rind. Knowing it comes from a family estate going back to 1550 makes the $30-ish price feel almost silly.

Crisp and clean, with that signature minerality you'd expect from a well-made Sancerre. I really appreciate the centuries of family knowledge that clearly goes into every bottle. Already looking forward to ordering another case.
