That pale purple color is exactly as described, and the fresh acidity makes it incredibly easy to drink. I served it slightly chilled with roast chicken and the red-cherry notes really came through.

That spicy, lightly smoky stemminess really comes through on the nose — it’s what makes this feel more interesting than your average pinot. The red-cherry fruit and fresh acidity keep it light and food-friendly, and the tannin grip is just enough to give it some structure.

That light grip of tannin made it perfect with my roasted chicken dinner—balanced but not too heavy. The smoky stemminess on the nose was subtle but really came through as it opened up. Fresh enough to drink now, but I'm curious how it'll develop over another year.
