That double cask finish gives it a lovely sweetness without being cloying. The bourbon base keeps it mellow, but the fortified wine adds a rich, fruity depth that makes it dangerously easy to sip neat.

The fortified wine cask finish really comes through on the nose, giving it a sweet, almost jammy character that I wasn't expecting. It's dangerously smooth neat, though I imagine it'd hold up fine in a highball too.

I was skeptical about a grain whiskey, but the extra time in fortified wine casks really rounds out the sweetness without making it syrupy. It’s smooth enough to sip neat, which I didn’t expect from a single grain.
