شات. لا كوماندري دو غومبو 2019، بوردو

Not usually a fan of Bordeaux, but the berry notes here are so fresh and upfront without any heavy tannin grip. It’s genuinely juicy and smooth, dangerously easy to drink a full glass in no time.

Opened this for a quiet weeknight and the perfumed berry notes really come through on the nose. That light tannin makes it smooth enough to sip on its own, but it paired perfectly with a simple roast chicken. Definitely juicy and fresh, exactly as described.

Picked up a bottle for a casual dinner and was surprised by how smooth it was right out of the bottle. The light tannins made it easy to drink without needing to let it breathe. Juicy and fresh, exactly what I wanted for a weeknight pour.
