CHATEAU BEAUSEJOUR 2023, St. Emilion

The texture is what gets me—full-bodied but so silky, the Merlot backbone just carries everything smoothly. Opened it last night with dinner and the depth kept evolving in the glass for a good hour. Already thinking about grabbing another bottle to cellar.

The Cabernet Franc adds a lovely lift to the rich Merlot base, and the depth of flavor here is remarkable for a 2023. Decanted for an hour, it opened up beautifully and paired perfectly with our steak dinner.

The blend of 77% Merlot really shines through with a full-bodied richness that lingered beautifully after dinner. It’s smooth enough to enjoy now but has the structure to age a few more years.
