CHATEAU CANTENAC BROWN 2006, Margaux

This 2006 Margaux has really softened up beautifully over the last decade, showing those classic cedar and dark fruit notes. Opened it with a decant and it was singing after about an hour. A solid example of the appellation that's drinking perfectly right now.

The 2006 Margaux label on this bottle is what convinced me, and it didn't disappoint—the blend has that classic Bordeaux structure with a smooth, lingering finish. I opened it with a simple steak dinner and it held up beautifully for the whole evening.

Finally opened this 2006 Margaux last night and the tannins have mellowed beautifully. It paired perfectly with a simple roast lamb, showing that classic Margaux elegance. A great value for a well-aged Bordeaux.
